The Summer Solstice Festival is a 4 day/3 night Music, Art and Lifestyle Gathering that will be held from December 19 – 22nd 2008, on the upper mid north coast of NSW, 3 hrs drive south of Byron Bay.
On December the 21st (in the southern hemisphere), when the sun sits the highest in the sky resulting in the longest day and shortest night, is the day the light overcomes the darkness ...
Traditionally in many cultures people celebrated this day by gathering and dancing as they acknowledged the joy of summer and the fullness of light.
With over 80 local, National & International Producers, Dj’s & bands, performing over our 3 stages, The Summer Solstice Festival musical line-up has something for everyone.
The Festival features Roving Performances, Installation Art and Site Installations as well as our Children’s space, an Out Doors Cinema, Market stalls, Swimming Holes, Healing Space, International Food Fair, Bushwalking and much more. All of this, combined with hanging out in the great Aussie bush with all your friends makes for a great weekend of fun & adventure.
